Senior Automation Programmer

We are seeking a Senior Automation Programmer to join our team in Calgary, Alberta. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining control systems within a defined scope, while collaborating closely with our engineering and production teams to ensure the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Designing, developing, and programming control systems using Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC's and HMI's.
- Implementing and configuring Variable Frequency Drives (VFD's) for various applications.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve automation issues.
- Developing and maintaining detailed documentation of control systems and processes.
- Providing technical support and training to maintenance and production staff.
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in control systems programming within the Oil & Gas and/or Food & Beverage industries.
- Strong knowledge of Allen Bradley VFD's and others and their applications in industrial settings.
- High proficiency with Allen Bradley PLC's, FactoryTalk View SE and ME HMI's, and PlantPax.
- Experience with Wonderware and Ignition Software.
- Experience with RTU programming for Scadapack and Fisher ROC systems.
- Experience with Siemens PLC's.
- Knowledge and experience with DeviceNet, Modbus, and Ethernet.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
